Since 2007, Julia has taught in the Fashion School at IED Barcelona in both the Spanish and English courses. She was promoted to BA Hons Course Leader in 2009, organising and carrying out the validation process with Westminster University.
In 2011, she was promoted to Head of Fashion School. She is currently in charge of all fashion programs and courses offered in the Undergraduate school (BA Hons Fashion Design validated by Westminster University, Titulo de Grado en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Diseño: Diseño de Moda and Estilismo y Comunicación). She continues to teach in all programs.
IED Barcelona Fashion School has been included in international rankings for the best undergraduate fashion courses since 2013.

Julia has worked in fashion design since early 2000. She began working in New York with Francis designing a capsule collection of blazers and jackets for celebrity clients and per/Form, created by artist Julia Mandle in order to transform her architectural costumes into a limited edition exterior garment collection. After moving to Barcelona, she worked on Jose Castro´s creative team, developing and producing his RTW collections which showed in Paris Fashion Week and 080 Barcelona Fashion, as well as being sold in No Season showroom in Paris. From 2009-2011 she designed a luxury tshirt collection (MYBS) which sold in Barcelona and the United States. Since 2015, she has produced limited pieces for individual clients. All items are sources and made in Spain.
From 2002-2009 Julia worked as a costume designer for theater, dance and music.
